Baja NOW HOMECOMING PARADE - October 6, 2017
Today at Iowa Baja, the team was able to participate in the University of Iowa's 2017 Homecoming Parade. The Homecoming Day Parade is one of the largest events that Iowa Baja participates in each year with over 16,000 spectators along the mile-long parade route.
Before we began to run, we were able to finish some last minute preparation on the braking system for Car 48. When the rain that had plagued most of the day finally disappeared, we drove our vehicles to our staging area and spent some time discussing upcoming events as a team.
All three vehicles captivated the attention of the crowd. With every wheelie, the crowd cheered on the team as we wound through the streets of Iowa City. When the parade came to an end, and we left the cars back in our laboratory, we knew we had made a lasting impression on all who cheered on Baja as we wound our way through the parade.
Moments like these are always thanks to our Sponsors. We are always looking for sponsors and donations to our team. We accept material, machine time as well as monetary donations. For more information, or to become a Baja Sponsor, check out the "Sponsors" page of our website.
