Baja NOW Weekly Update: Week of October 1, 2017
This weekend, the Baja team used our laboratory time this weekend to prepare our cars for the University of Iowa Homecoming Parade this Friday in Iowa City. The Homecoming Parade is an annual tradition where all members of the Hawkeye community come together to recognize various organizations within the University of Iowa.

More than 15,000 spectators come from around the world to watch the parade. Cars 104, 88, and 78 will be participating. Before we participate, however, we needed to fix the cars fresh off of Midnight Mayhem in Kentucky. Today, we welding the exhaust to Car 48, fixed clutch covers, inspected the rear drivetrain, and mounted our cameras in anticipation of the parade.

On Car 88, we fixed the rear trailing arm that was damaged at our race in Kentucky, as well as repairing our clutch cover, and a general inspection of the rear drivetrain and inspection of the fuel system. Now, our cars sit ready for the parade this Friday. If you see Iowa Baja in the parade, snap a picture and use the hashtag #iowabaja on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and we may use it on our website!
