Baja NOW: Gearing Up for Midnight Mayhem

Welcome back to Baja Now! Over the past 4 weeks we have been hard at work getting 48 & 88 prepped and ready to go, working on designs for the new nationals car, and having fun out at the test site.

Midnight Mayhem is October 12th & 13th in Kentucky. This year we are sending half the team while our seniors stay home so the future leaders of Baja can learn what it takes. They are leaving early Friday morning to head down to the race so make sure to check up on Facebook for updates!

Another big announcement: WE ARE GOING TO CALIFORNIA! Baja Nationals Registration was this Tuesday, and thanks to the quick fingers of our team we were able to register 51st for the California race! This will take place May 16-19th 2019.

On top of Kentucky this year and due to the large amount of members we’ve had showing up excited about Baja, we’ve decided to attend Backwoods Baja in Stout WI! This will be the weekend of October 26th-28th. Going to this race will allow those members who didn’t go to Kentucky another chance to get racing experience.

Finally, Wednesday Oct 10th, we will be doing an outreach event at the National Advanced Driving Stimulator with the Johnson County STEM Festival. We are excited to get future engineers excited in the opportunities at the University of Iowa and in the STEM field!
