Baja NOW BAJA@IOWA: Patriot Debut Week & 2018 BAJA SAE Night April 22-29, 2018

It has been a pretty busy week at Iowa Baja. With the completion of our newest car, The Patriot, It has been a whirlwind exposing the University of Iowa Community to The Patriot as well as to introduce new people to Iowa Baja. Since the debut of The Patriot on April 19th, we have received countless comments of praise and awe across social media specifically about the newest member of the Baja fleet. Our Baja NOW Special Edition on the Debut of The Patriot attracted more attention than any previous Baja NOW with the compliments continuing to flood in.

As a former two-year president I know how much work members put into the cars and into the (organization). It’s great to see the tradition of Iowa Baja live on and be so successful. The Baja organization will challenge and push you to become better engineers and give you valuable experience preparing you for your future careers. Keep up the great work!

Team Photo Day - Sunday April 22

With The Patriot finally complete, the Baja team headed to the University of Iowa's Pentacrest to take pictures with The Patriot and show the car off around campus. The Pentacrest is the former capitol area of the state of Iowa now a landmark of the campus of the University of Iowa. Pictures were taken in front of the iconic Old Capitol Building itself overlooking the west side of campus.  To see more pictures of the Baja Team Photo Day, check out our album on Facebook with the button below.

After we finished pictures on the Pentacrest, we moved to the terrace underneath the New Annex to the Seamans Center for the Engineering Arts & Sciences to capture The Patriot near the building where designs and ideas of the vehicle were conceptualized by our members.
