Baja NOW Weekly Update: December 3, 2017

After taking a week off to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families, the Baja Laboratory was again back in full swing. Members returned ready to push to finish and fabricate approved designs, as well as make necessary preparations for upcoming races.

Jacob Koke started the lathe and began to make braking mounts and fasteners. These components have been designed for and will be used on the upcoming Nationals Competition Vehicle.

Meanwhile, Eric Jones put the finishing touches on new steering adjuster columns. This piece helps improve driver ergonomics by allowing multiple drivers to adjust the wheel to their specific preference.

Over in the welding area, Danielle Lightfoot began to weld a floor support for our floor pan. This piece covers up the steering knuckle, and ensures the driver's feet stay inside of the vehicle.
