Baja NOW: Back To School Update!

Welcome back! Iowa Baja has had a great summer off and is ready to get back to business. Wondering what we’ve been up to? Keep reading to see what some of our members have been up to this summer!

Colton DeLanoit: Colton spent his summer deployed in Quatar! His favorite part was coming up with solutions to problems in a deployed environment without having all resources necessary. He also liked meeting new people from different places. Colton is most excited for revising and fixing our old designs for this upcoming race season.

Jacob Gault: Jacob spent his summer working as a student product engineer at John Deere! His favorite part was driving equipment and doing design work. Jacob is really excited for races this year.

Thiago Xifra: Thiago spent his summer working a Bueller where they make machines for food processing. He really enjoyed getting to know what they do in the food industry and how different food is processed. Thiago is most excited to get the car ready for nationals.

Kory Rogers: Kory spent his summer as an intern at Moveero as a manufacturing engineering intern. He made lots of improvements and helped fix machines they use to make rims. Kory is most excited for races and and seeing how our car will perform.

Stay tuned for semester updates! We are excited to participate in some on campus organization events this semester:

Student Organization fair: 8/31 - check us out in Hubbard park from 5-7pm!

Engineering Welcome Fair: 8/31 - check us out on S. Capitol St. from 4-6pm!

We are always looking for donations to our team. We accept material, machine time, as well as monetary donations. For more information, check out the "Sponsors" page of our website.
