Baja NOW: Update (10/16/2022)
We have been getting quite a bit settled here in the Baja shop over these past few weeks!
These past few weeks have consisted of welcoming new members and getting our three cars ready for the upcoming Backwoods Baja race in Stout, WI.
33s shock mounts were made and installed. Clutches were also tuned.
51s gearbox got rebuilt. We also adjusted its suspension and tuned its clutches.
We have also been extended the opportunity to station our car outside of the Engineering building during Hawkeye Visit Days for prospective Iowa students. This has been a great way to spread the word about Iowa Baja and has allows us to show off all of our hard work.

(10/28) University of Iowa Homecoming Parade on Friday October 28th at 5:45pm in downtown Iowa City. Come check out the Baja club driving through Iowa City for the parade!
(10/28) College of Engineering Party after the Parade 2022 on Friday October 28 from 7-9pm at the Seaman’s Center. Are you ready to race? We are planning a super fun Nascar Race activity - don’t forget to check us out!
(10/29) Iowa Baja Alumni Tailgate on Saturday October 29, at 9:00am at the Library Lot. Time to cheer on the Hawkeyes! Meet the Iowa Baja team at the library lot on Saturday the 29th for a super fun Alumni tailgate. This year, we are going pot-luck style - bring some chips, dip, cookies, you name it! Burgers and hotdogs will also be available - all we ask is a small monetary donation in exchange. Go Hawks!
